This month’s Round Robin topic is: If you have (or even if you don’t have) a bucket list, what top priority thing(s) do you want to accomplish?
A bucket list. I’ve thought about it, but have always thought I’d have the time to do everything I’ve wanted to do… eventually. But time is starting to tick and the world is changing. The Egyptian pyramids are looking less and less likely. L And, after blowing out my knee in July, I’ve adjusted them a bit. Okay, not really. It won’t stop me from doing any of what I want, except possibly the Appalachian Trail, but it certainly has slowed me down.
What do I want to accomplish? I don’t know about accomplishing, but more a few things I’d love to do.
- Road trip around the US. There are so many places I’d like to go. My daughter, Lily, and I have already started on an itinerary.
- Hike to Machu Picchu
- Sky dive. I’m terrified of heights, but I’d still love to do this.
- Swim with the dolphins.
- Hike the John Muir Trail, although I don’t see this happening. Not because of my knee, but because I’m the only one in my house that likes to backpack.
- Travel to Australia/New Zealand.
- Return to Glastonbury with my family.
- Visit the Egyptian pyramids.
How about you? What are some of the items on your bucket list?
Visit these ladies to find out what these women have on their bucket lists:
I love many items on your list, but I too am afraid of heights and think the skydiving thing might not be a good fit, although I sometimes dream about hang gliding. Go figure.
I don’t know why I think skydiving would be good, but hang gliding makes my stomach turn, Rhobin. One of those many mysteries in life. LOL
I love your list, Marci! I love hiking with my family too and would love to see Machu Picchu as well!
My mother has been there, Diane. She said it was fabulous. I’ve always wanted to go. Well, at least since I’d heard about it anyway. It sounds mysterious, and the pictures are always breathtaking.
So much on there, Marci. A little by little approach might be good. Best of luck with it all, Anne Stenhouse
There is a lot on there. Some of them, I think are more doable than others, Anne. For instance, swimming with the dolphins. That one can probably be done if we get to it before they make it illegal. I also would love to swim with the manta rays. That would be amazing. I’ve already swam with sharks (fed and docile sharks, mind you, but they were still sharks).
Those are great goals! I hope you achieve as many of them as you can.
Thanks, Victoria. I hope so, too. 🙂
Marci, I’m not a strong swimmer so this wouldn’t be for me, but I can see how elegant manta rays are. Sharks! Hmn! Being plump i can’t really get round the idea I’d look awfully like prey. anne stenhouse
LOL, Anne. They are kept well fed, so they were not interested in us at all. 😀
Hey Marci, I can’t read your post at all! It’s totally black, with only pictures to see. Is it because I’m using Firefox? I can’t read anyone else’s comments either. What a bummer!
Maybe. That’s not usually an issue with this site.
Marci, from one who loves to travel, here’s hoping you enjoy the journeys you make this year.

Thanks, Geeta. 🙂
