Have you ever tried to find organic tortillas without soybean oil? Or just tried to find organic tortillas period? Seriously, you’d think you were on a mission in search of the Holy Grail. I sent Charlie off to find some organic tortillas without soybean anything in it. (Soy is awful for you.) An hour or more later and four stores later, and he finally found some.
Why organic? Anything with corn or wheat in it that doesn’t say organic, is most likely GMO. We avoid that as much as possible.
Seriously, people, it shouldn’t be that hard to eat well. I could’ve made them at home. Dumb. Just dumb.
This is why Europeans won’t allow food/seed from the USA into their countries. They call what we eat “Frankenfood”, and won’t have any of it. We live in a giant petri dish, and we’re surrounded by a chemical “soup” that no one has any idea what the long-term effects are…but we are all okay with that, right? Sheesh!
Sure wish it wasn’t so darned expensive to buy organic…and that buying organic didn’t sometimes increase the risk of e-coli! Can’t win for losing, right?
It doesn’t necessarily increase the risk of e. Coli. I think there are a lot of instances of food recalls that aren’t organic.
I’m off grains for a while to reboot my metabolism, but I still have to feed the family. It’s a challenge, Fiona.
