Part of our reasoning to do this is to bring more attention to the Indie authors we love to read. With so many books out there now, it’s hard to figure out what is a good, well-written book…or not. Keep in mind, these are our opinions, things we like to read.
Today, I review Renewed Spirits by Merryn Dexter.

A Desperate Woman

Shunned throughout the para realms, he doubts he will ever find a woman to satisfy the demon within.
A Forbidden Passion
When Raegan meets the copper-eyed stranger, a passion she never believed herself capable of awakens. Zamahl is horrified by his burning attraction to the timid little human. Humans, weak of mind and body, are to be avoided at all costs.
As the Summer Solstice celebrations continue, Raegan must decide what she really wants from life, and find the courage to claim it. She must overcome Zamahl’s doubts, the disapproval of one very unhappy were-tiger and the fickleness of Fate to find true happiness.
Review
This is my third Wiccan Haus story, and Ms. Dexter’s Renewed Spirits delivered the perfect addition to this series.
Raegan arrives at Wiccan House with some serious self-esteem issues, thanks to her mother and soon-to-be ex-husband. Being away from them and in the presence of the right people helps her grow into her own and break free of the need to please everyone else but herself.
Zamahl has lived his entire existence as a hated incubus. Unlike most incubi, he doesn’t like it, and all that hate has done a number on his self-worth. When he first meets Raegan, he’s inexorably drawn to her.
These two flawed beings are the perfect combination for an uplifting romance that I couldn’t put down. My one complaint is that I wanted more.
