I debated on swimming today. It’s apparent in my workout. It was alos apparent in my speed, or lack thereof. I didn’t sleep well last night, getting to bed at 1 a.m. At 5 a.m., I woke up and felt like roadkill. Luckily, with the help of my husband curling around me, I was able to go back to sleep for a few hours. Then he pushed me out the door to swim. I’d glad he did, but it wasn’t one of my better swims. It also wasn’t one of my worst, so there is that.

My goal for the main set distances was to keep a 1:25 pace. I didn’t. However, it wasn’t as bad as I expected. The 500 was around a 7:09 (I wanted a 7:05). The 400 was on a 5:41. The 300 was a 4:15 (so finally hit my goal time). The 200 a 2:49. Another goal time hit, but it was all kind of meh. I’m sure, if I’d had breakfast and slept well, things would’ve turned out better. Some days are just like that. (Shrug) That I even swam intervals was a good.

There’s always tomorrow, right?

So, adjust as you need.
