Today was better. Just deciding to let it all go and not worry about it helped a lot. I swam with two women who were significantly slower (I passed them every other lap.) The difference was that we managed to stay out of each other’s way, and they were good at staying to one side of the lane. I had a different warmup set in mind, but these distances and intervals worked well in me being able to pass and avoid the other two swimmers. Since the distances worked so well with the warmup set, I carried them into the main set with slightly faster times. The 75s also worked well. By the last round or two, one of the women left, so we split the lane. This made it possible for me to swim the 1:05 and the last set of 50s hard. As a result, I’m enjoying swimming again and am back at my happy place. 🙂
