Unlike yesterday, I didn’t channel Katie Ledecky. Well, I tried, but failed miserably. This may be because it was 7 am, and I’m what is called a “country club” swimmer. In other words, I can swim at 11-ish or noon because I work from home and am self-employed. Or maybe because I hadn’t eaten yet. (I do better if I’ve had some food at some point before swimming.) Or maybe it’s just because I was slower today. (I like my other reasons better. 🤪) However, this wasn’t really a 50-minute workout since, once again, we were let in late. I was unfamiliar with this coach, so I didn’t know his name. The sets were much slower than usual, which was good because so was I. There’s always tomorrow. LOL

And I ran into Fred, a swimmer friend from pre-COVID days. As I haven’t seen him in too long, it was great to see him again. That sounds like an insult. It wasn’t meant that way. LOL I used to see him every Sunday (well, nearly every Sunday) and then sometimes during the week before the whole lock down. At one point, he swam in the same lane with me, but, then graduated up to a faster one. He’s been out swimming in the ocean with another friend. Perhaps I’ll join them tomorrow. Then, again, perhaps I’ll sleep in. 🤪 He really likes my workouts and has been “stealing” them (Yay! That’s what they’re here for.) AND he likes my commentary. Haha! I wasn’t sure if anyone ever stopped by and saw them, let alone used them. So, despite the slow swim day, it turned out pretty good. Thank you, Fred, for making my day. 😊
