Actually, it was hard to have fun when I wasn’t feeling very fun. I tried, did some different stuff before going into a more regular set. It’s where I was at. So, you can determine if this was fun or not. Regardless, I came out of the pool with a much better mindset than when I went in. 🙂 That’s the beauty of swimming.

50-minute swim workout, “fun” emphasis

500 warmup (~7:30 min)

Warmup set 2x (700 yds, ? min)
300 swam as
50—25 sidestroke on one side/25 sidestroke on the other (one side is going to be stronger and easier than the other)
50—25 dolphin dives/25 free least amount of breath
50—elementary backstroke
50—underwater breaststroke least amount of breath across each length
50—spin cycle
50—underwater dolphin kick off the both walls as far as I could go then free
50 easy fast on :45

Main set (1550 yds, 23:30 min)
Set 1—2x (1250 yds, 19 min)
2 x 100 on 1:30
2 x 150 on 2:15
2 x 50 on :45
easy 25 on :30

Set 2 (300 yds, 4:30 min)
100 on 1:30
150 on 2:15
50 on :45

4 x 25 sprint on :30

200 warm down

Total yards: 3050
