Today . . . ah, today. Let’s just say I swam. That I managed to get 2900 yards is a miracle of its own. What went wrong? I shared with 2 people. One was really, really slow; the other was slow, but, every time the man caught up with the really slow person, he’d turn in lane and go the other way. Usually, if I was coming the other way, he’d wait for me to go by and then follow me. However, I never could get a bead on his “pace.” Sometimes, he would follow her for a while, refusing to pass, wait for me to go by, then turn back the other way. After the warmup set, everything went to hell in a hand basket full of flaming crap, but I swam. He was just trying to stay out of my way. It didn’t work. To top it off, the water temperature was 82-83˚.

At least I swam, and no one died. Actually, I’ve been pretty chill about it all, which is amazing.
