This was a tough workout. Coach Bill has more faith in my speed and abilities than I do. We were supposed to descend these sets, but, honestly, after the first round, I had nothing for the second and just made the first couple on the 1:40. From there, I decided to descend within the rounds. My goal was to drop 1 second/100 within each round after the 1:40 group. It worked. However, we ran out of time for the last two 100s in the final round. I was so sad. LOL Those became my warm down. 3200 meters in an hour isn’t bad. I’ll take it. However, I’m not ready for 4 x 100 on 1:35. I managed it, but it was not fun. It burned. Personally, I think we should have done 16 x 100s and started the rounds at 1:40. We would’ve had some time leftover to do another short set (maybe 4 x 50 sprints) and 100-200 warm down. But this workout did challenge me and showed me I can do 4 x 100 on 1:35. It still feels like the lap will never be over. (Shrug) I don’t know how to change that unless I swim more long course.

I saw a few friends I haven’t seen in a while. (Yay, Rachel, Bonnie, Fred, and Hubie!) Hopefully, I’ll get to see them more often, although Hubie’s returning to Florida for the winter. We’ll miss you. 🙂
